Selling your car with Twin Cities Auto Auctions is simple!

  1. Schedule a Drop-Off – Contact us at 763-202-7252 or office@twincitiesautoauctions.com to book an appointment.
  2. Bring Documentation – A transferable title is required to complete the sale.
  3. Choose Auction Type:
    • Reserve Auction – $200 upfront for two runs, then $40 per additional run. If sold, you get a $100 discount on seller fees.
    • No Reserve Auction – No upfront fee, just a 10% selling fee when sold.
  4. Prepare Your Title – Ensure all owners sign it and provide a notarized lien release if applicable.
  5. Drop Off Your Vehicle – The paperwork takes just 10-20 minutes.

Our platform is open to anyone and everyone, including the general public and businesses! All you need is a valid, government-issued photo ID. Acceptable forms of ID include a driver’s license, state-issued ID, or passport. For licensed dealers, dealer licenses are also necessary.

Once a bid is placed, all bids are binding and cannot be retracted. That means if you accidentally place a bid and end up winning, you’re contractually obligated to pay. We encourage all our users to double-check before placing a bid to avoid any mishaps during the auction.

At this time, we do not offer in-person test drives. However, we encourage you to conduct a thorough vehicle inspection and check out our virtual test drive videos for a closer look.

The processing time for titles can vary based on the type of transaction and location. For Minnesota buyers, it typically takes 1-3 months to receive the title. For out-of-state buyers or dealer transactions, the title is usually processed within 31 days.

Every vehicle has a transport shipping quote attached to it for your reference!
Transport times vary depending on your location. For the Twin Cities area, delivery typically takes 1-5 business days, while shipments outside the area may take 1-7 business days. Transporters will reach out to you once your vehicle is ready for delivery.

Vehicle inspections are only permitted while the auction is live. Once the auction has ended and the vehicle has been won, inspections are no longer allowed unless the vehicle has been paid for. However, you are welcome to inspect or view the vehicle before placing a bid.

Yes! Customize your warranty package starting from $399 with coverage from 3 months/3,000 miles up to 5 years/Unlimited miles. Contact our customer support team members for more information!

The fees include the buyer’s premium, an administrative fee, and any applicable DMV charges. For more detailed information about the buyer’s premium and other related fees, please refer to our Pricing Page.

We accept the below payment methods, and you can use up to two methods for each vehicle purchase:

  • Cash (for amounts under $500)
  • Credit/Debit Cards (For a purchase price totaling $5,000 or more, a 3% fee will be applied to any amount charged on the card.)
